December, 2009. One year will be almost complete in 20 minutes later.
I spent the last day in 2009 by going around Jakarta. The city was quiet enough, not as crowded as the normal days. I really enjoyed it much! If only Jakarta could be the same as that day everyday, only dreaming.
In the last 3 years, I celebrated the New Years in the different places with the different ambience.
I celebrated the 2008 New Year’s Eve with the owner of my dorm whom I have regarded as my family and some foreign friends in Bandung. There were Ms. Bernadette from South Africa who returned to her country in July 2009, Ms. Mihi who came from South Korea, also some other Japanese friends whom I totally forgot their names. We celebrated the New Year’s Eve by cooking, eating cake and watching the fireworks. Meanwhile, at that night, I was still waiting for my graduation ceremony.
In 2009, I celebrated the New Year’s Eve with family and some close friends in my hometown, Magelang. At that time, I have worked for 5 months in my current job and enjoyed a series of training provided by the company in the management trainee program.
Different from those two previous New Year’s Eves, I myself celebrated the New Year's Eve this year in Jakarta, a city where I have been living since one and a half year ago. A few months after graduation, I left Bandung for Jakarta to work.
New Year’s Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past. This is what I do right now. I am thinking about so many things that have happened during the year, counting some achievements, listing the mistakes I have done throughout the year, and starting to set reasonable goals for the coming year.
Let’s count down the time. We will welcome the New Year in about 5 minutes later!
Happy New Year everyone. Wish you a happy and healthy New Year. May great things always come to us.
See ya in 2010!
